The latest version of the GoMMC software is 1.19 (19 May 2019). It is included with this guide, in this directory.
The files in the 'common' directory are for all versions of GoMMC. The files in the 'generic', 'electron' and 'special' directories are files that are different for a GoMMC running on, respectively, a BBC model B or Master, an Electron, or a BBC B+. Combine the files in the 'common' directory and the relevant other directory as required.
Place the files where they need to be :
These belong on your BBC or Electron. They are either assembly coded command-line utilities or BASIC programs (the latter four). You can add them to your flash card(s) with MMCATO and thereafter run them with *MMCTool, or you can store and run them with a filing system (but then you must ensure that the load and execution addresses of the command-line utilities are set to &2000).
This is a ROM image.
These are text files. Put and read them where you want.
This belongs on a PC running Windows 7 or later. Please note that, to run GoMMCio.exe, you may need to install Microsoft's 'Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017'.
This belongs on an (IBM compatible) PC running x86 Linux. You may want to rename it to 'gommcio' once it is there.
This belongs on an Apple Mac running Mac OS X. You may want to rename it to 'gommcio' once it is there.
This is a text file. Read it to know what changed since the last version of the software.
Refer to the Use section of this manual for all additional information, including how to use this software (and the files in the 'ROMs' directory).
To update your GoMMC software, run MMCUP (the software updater) on your BBC or Electron. Then switch off your machine. And on again.
